March 15 2026
Dear Members,
Thank you to everyone who attended the Cider Canada / Cidre Canada Annual General Meeting on Thursday March 12, 2026. We were pleased to see strong participation from members across the country and appreciate the time you took to join the discussion and help guide the future of our national association.
During the meeting, members reviewed the annual report, reviewed organizational priorities, and elected members of the Board of Directors for the coming term.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Tasmine Fraser for her four years of service on the Board. Throughout her time with Cider Canada, Tasmine brought an important public-facing voice to the organization and helped strengthen connections between cider producers and consumers across the country. We are grateful for her contributions and dedication to supporting the Canadian cider community.
Members also elected two new directors to the Board. Please join us in welcoming:
Andrew Duncan – Uncommon Cider (Calgary, Alberta)
Andrew is a trained CPA with extensive experience in finance, operations, and international trade, having served in senior roles including CFO and COO for businesses involved in import and export. As part of Alberta’s first craft cidery, Uncommon Cider has helped build a growing urban cider market in Western Canada since 2016. Andrew brings valuable expertise in finance and export development as the association continues to strengthen market opportunities for Canadian cider.
Molly Crandles – Sea Cider (Saanichton, British Columbia)
Molly brings strong technical expertise in chemistry, quality assurance, sensory evaluation, cidermaking, and viticulture. Sea Cider is a farm-based cidery on Vancouver Island producing traditionally fermented ciders from organically grown apples and has been a leading voice for quality and craft cider in Canada. Molly’s experience in production and evaluation will contribute valuable perspective to the board’s work supporting cider quality and industry development.
